How committed are you to eating healthy and working out? Do you work out 3-5 times a week or just when you get the urge? Well one lady has dedicated her life to being healthy by exercising daily and eating healthy on a regular basis as a lifestyle.
Ngina Jackson is a mother of three ages 22, 16 and 4 who enjoys working out and being healthy. This original New York native enjoyed going to work out on her lunch break and enjoyed taking spin classes. Since her relocation to the Metro-Atlanta area her eating habits has changed dramatically. Thankfully those habits have only gotten better.
Ngina became even more health conscious and decided to add more fruits, vegetables to her diet. She hasn’t t eaten red meat or pork in over 20 years. “I really love cooking and trying new recipes from the Food Channel.”
This mother is committed to her workout so much that she makes sure she is at the gym at 5:30 am every morning. “I just really love working out, if I miss a workout I just don’t feel right. My day is not complete!” Ngina discovered that keeping a healthy lifestyle is rewarding for her, so much that she post her meals on instagram and shares recipes.
“I have dedicated myself to being healthy and I have found my passion.” When asked would she consider becoming a personal trainer or a nutritionist she said, “Yes I am working on becoming a Personal Trainer and looking forward to getting certified as a Nutritionist.”
We asked Ngina how would the average person who is not as enthused to work out get started and she responded by saying; ”You should take baby steps even if it just walking 20-30 minutes a day, then you can incorporate more activities as you progress to running and or aerobics as you build more endurance.” (You must always consult with your physician before beginning any physical activity) “When you begin to see results it will only encourage you to do more!” Ngina also suggest eating smaller portions throughout the day.
Ngina’s final thoughts- “This lifestyle is no walk in the park, it takes a strong will, an open mind, motivation, determination, discipline, and you HAVE TO WANT IT!!! Nothing that’s worth while comes on a silver platter…you have to work hard at what you want! There will be roadblocks, setbacks, distractions and disbelief just like the issues we face every day. However, if you believe in yourself you can concur anything!!”
